Window treatments for apartments
In an apartment, drilling is not always possible or desirable. Fortunately, there are excellent no-drill mounting solutions available today. Roller blinds, pleated blinds and Honeycomb blinds with clamp brackets clip directly onto the window frame — no screws needed. Pleated and Honeycomb blinds are also available with adhesive brackets: double-sided tape, strong enough for daily use. For rentals, pleated blinds and Honeycomb blinds are also available with the Clickfix system: a mounting solution that is easy to remove without damage when moving. Note the maximum width and weight limits for these mounting types: they work best with lighter blinds and standard window sizes.
Tips
Clamp brackets
Clamp brackets clip onto the window frame without drilling. Ideal for roller blinds, pleated blinds and Honeycomb blinds. Easy to remove without damage.
Adhesive brackets
Double-sided adhesive brackets are strong enough for lighter pleated blinds. When moving, remove them damage-free with a hairdryer.
Weight limit
Clamp and adhesive brackets work best with lighter blinds. For heavy curtains or wide windows, drilling is often still necessary.
